A Whole New Counselor

Well I'm back after my three week leave of being a camp counselor!  It was such an amazing experience!  I love being a counselor!  It is such an opportunity to step out of your comfort zone and be a good godly influence in a variety of kids' lives.

The title of this post says everything.  This year I was so different than last  year.  Take a look:

The games were so fun this year!  Much more fun than last year because I could actually play them without getting winded so quickly!  During Junior Camp, I purposely played games instead of going to craft time because I knew I could run with these kids (4th-6th graders).

How did P90X go during camp? you may ask.  Well, I did all the days except one the first week, I went running one day the second week and didn't do any the third week!  Oops!  Well I can always start over!  And I plan to when I am all settled down in my apartment with my uncle on Monday!

Camp food:  Obviously camp food isn't the healthiest, but I had healthy snacks and I knew how to control my portions.  So I didn't gain any weight all three weeks!

I'm very ready to get back to a normal routine.  Right now the house is a mess  as I try to pack up everything.  And I'm not just packing, I'm organizing and throwing away a lot of things!

My uncle that I'm going to stay with hired a personal trainer a while ago and said it was the best thing he's ever spent his money on.  Since he found out that I like to work out, he's been telling me all about these opportunities I will have with him.  One of which is going to kickboxing classes with him!  I know!!  I'm stoked!  I've never done it and totally would love to get involved with that!  He also lives very close to a YMCA and I'm looking into getting a job there (through work study even!).

The future holds so many exciting things for me I can't wait to get out there and tackle them!  All I have to do is pack up all my junk and get outta here!

Check back later for some of the great activities I took part in at camp!
