Cracker Making Adventures

Happy Thursday!  I hope you are eating healthy and staying active!!

Thank goodness the humidity wasn't as bad today as it was yesterday!  It should be gone by this weekend.  I'm hoping and praying it will!

My morning began with a little mile walk with my mother.  She wanted to walk while it was still cool out.  I walking my UA shoes and they are starting to become more broken in.  I will admit I haven't worn them in a while.  We only walked one mile so I could still have time to make crackers before I left for work.

Breakfast was Raisin Bran.

I had to get my fruit roll ups out of the dehydrator before I could make crackers.  So I cut them into 8 pieced each, and rolled them up with Seran wrap and put them in separate baggies so I wouldn't get them mixed up.  I also made a baggie with one of each for Matt since he's never had it before :)

I began my cracker making adventure next.  It was quite the experience!

Soaking the flax seeds was my favorite thing to do!  They were almost a gel after an hour!

[If you want the full recipe here it is - although I tweaked it a bit]

For a quick lunch mom made us kale peach smoothies.  It contained our own canned peaches, home grown kale, homemade yogurt, nutmeg and cinnamon.  I tasted like peach pie!  It was so good and so healthy!

Then it was off to my second to last shift at the meat market!

When I came home, mom was at a loss of what to make for supper.  She had cooked and deboned chicken backs so we decided to barbecue them.  All we did was throw some sauce and spicy brown mustard in and warm it up!  It was quick and tasty.  We had it on freshly baked homemade bread.  Freshly picked and steamed pea pods were on the side.

For dessert we had ice cream cones.  I mixed my ice cream with homemade dark chocolate syrup before I put it into my cone! ;)

I packaged my crackers up into baggies and sealed them in a Tupperware.

They turned out a little crumbly.  They are pretty fragile and there were plenty of crumbs after I got all the big chunks out.  We'll try it again and grind up the sunflower seeds a little more to make it closer to a powder.

It was off to P90X after that adventure.  It was Shoulders and Arms with Ab Ripper X.  It was really hard today.  But I loved it because I failed at a few things and I can't wait til I can do more of them!  I love watching myself progress!

It's nearly time for bed and I still need to shower!
