I'm back!! Hopefully to stay?!
I've decided to start again because I miss blogging so much. Now is the perfect time to begin again because I'm in a transitioning time of my life and want you to come along for the ride.
First off, I'm [re]starting P90X. I'm going to try the doubles circuit which is two hour long work outs every day for the second and third months. We'll see how that goes in August!
Second, I am quitting both my jobs. Yep! I'm so excited! No more 3 AM alarms for milking cows and no more long Saturday shifts at the meat market. I've been counting down to this Friday for about two and a half months now. I have one more milking in the morning and then two shifts at the meat market Thursday and Friday. Then Saturday we have a wedding to go to and then...
Third, I'm going to be a camp counselor again in July! I did this last summer and it was an amazing experience! So I'll have to take some time off blogging (as we are not allowed any technological device during the week) until the weekends. But I plan to continue with my work outs even without the videos.
Lastly, I am moving down to Willmar after I'm back from camp. I hope to find a job quickly and begin before school starts. I'm so excited to be going back to school and having the college experience again!
And now, on to the days events and eats!!
I woke up not very hungry and intending to work out right away but got distracted by the computer. I did day one of P90X [again]. Chest and back. It's a lot of push ups, pull ups and weight lifting. I loved it. I was almost ready to quit when we started the second set but determined in my mind that I needed to finish this strong or I wasn't going to get any results and it would be a waste. So I [literally] muscled my way through and I felt so good when I was done! I have forgotten how amazing of a feeling I recieve when I'm finished with a really tough workout. What do you enjoy most about working out [during or after]?
And of course my recovery drink was a lovely glass of chocolate milk. :)
I then did the dishes for my mother and to my surprise when I opened the dishwasher, what did I find? But play dishes!! My niece had spend the week with us last week and would have a tea party in the tub every night so mom had washed them. This gave me a very good laugh.
I made myself a lovely little salad for lunch: freshly picked greens from the garden (we are growing kale, three kinds of chard, leaf lettuce, spinich, endive and romain lettuce), [this is what I love about summer] grilled chicken chunks, crispy bacon, mozzarella cheese, topped with Asiago Peppercorn dressing. I ate this on the way to work and it was very satisfying!
Work was very busy as everyone was getting their grilling items for their Forth of July celebrations. There was no lack of things to do and it got quite warm behind the counter with seven people keeping busy in a 15' by 15' square!
I came home to the smell of the grill going. We were having fresh brats with salad from the garden and green beans freshly picked today and a very sweet watermelon.
(I forgot to take a picture of my plate so I took a picture of everything that was left!)
This was very satisfying after a long day at work!
Now I'm off to bed with a milking luring in my future for the last time!
