...Forty Pounds Later...

Thats right!! Today I have OFFICIALLY lost 41 pounds!!!  This is cause for great jubilation!

HUZZAH!!

And.. I am 2.6 pounds away from going from the "obese" category to the "overweight" category!  That is (yet another huge milestone!) Going into the 100's!!!  I haven't been there in years - literally - YEARS!!

So I'm a bit behind on my green challenge.. here how it's been going:

Saturday: I had to skip.  Here is my *excuse* : I milked cows from 4am-8:30am.  Went home and ate breakfast with my parents, then it was off to work again to the meat market. from 10am-6pm.  When I went home, I ate supper and went to bed!  No time for a delicious green smoothie. :(

Monday: my mom and I started a 8-week get healthy challenge from Six Sisters Stuff.   It has several categories that you can receive daily points for completing (or not doing!).  Example: 5 points for exercising 30 minutes, or 7 points for exercising 45 minutes, 3 points for drinking 64 oz of water.  And 5 points for not eating sweets, and 3 points for stopping eating before 9 pm.
My smoothie for the day was from Peanutbutter Runner.  It was strawberries, bananas, kale, soy milk, ice.  It wasn't very good..  It had too much banana in it.  It had such an overpowering taste that it made me gag toward the end to it.  I also started a new weekly workout found here.  I did this with Katy and it took us about 13 minutes.

TODAY: I had greek yogurt for the first time!

It was.. okay.  Tasting almost like sour cream. So I had apples with it..  Very tasty!

I started a Couch-to-5k challenge.  It started with a 5 minute warm up, continued to 60 seconds of running, 90 seconds of walking.. alternating 8 times, then cooling down for 5 minutes.  I even got an app for it that tells me when to run and walk!

I also continued with my daily workout.. very refreshing!

I went to Katy's tonight to watch The Biggest Loser (MAKEOVER WEEK!).  I made a smoothie for her..
2 leaves of kale, stems removed.
4 pieces of frozen pineapple
1/2 banana
1 mango
a few slices of frozen peaches
1 cup almond milk
ice cubes

Katy was VERY skeptical and was freaking out by the bright green color.  But she was pleasantly surprised!  She liked it!  So that goes to show that you should make it!

Well, that's all for tonight!

Stay healthy, stay fit, live life.
