I have wonderful news to talk about!
Remember I said that me and my mom started the 8 week get healthy challenge? Well a few others had joined in (Katy and my sister-in-law Rosanna), but we didn't have very much communication.
Today my aunt Grace came other to fetch a bed from us while I was at work. My mom told me tonight at supper that she wants to join our challenge! This was very exciting because I know that my aunt will bring a very competitive atmosphere to this challenge!
When I was filling out my point sheet I noticed I hadn't encouraged anyone yet. I texted my Rosanna asking if she was still in our challenge. She responded that she was and her husband - my brother - Isaiah wanted to join! Along with her sister Roberta and her boyfriend! So now it has turned into a family affair!
We decided to restart the challenge with this next week. I'm very excited for it to start and for it to be officially official!
Here's a link to the Six Sister's Stuff post about the challenge.
And a link to the printable chart.
And here are the official rules we are going to use pertaining to the challenge:
-Contact with teammate: mean that you encourage one of the others in the challenge. You may not encourage the same person two days in a row. Encouragement may be spoken or written through text or mail ;)
-Vegetable servings are 1/2 cup.
-Definition of sweets/ sugary treats: anything you would have for dessert or a snack (i.e. candy bar). Also, you cannot receive points for one day during the week for not having sweets. So for a whole week you can only receive 30 points in this category.
-Keep a food journal. This is super important, tedious or not. You can go back and see what you excessively eat or what you are lacking. Be as detailed as you think necessary. I put amounts by things if I ate more than one serving.
-Exercise: can only count for SIX DAYS. You do need a rest day!
-Weight: Weigh yourself on SUNDAY MORNING, not Monday morning. (Mom and I go "off our diet" on Sunday and so it's nice to weigh yourself before that so you can work it off the whole week! :) )
-HAVE FUN!! I am looking forward to getting to know some of my teammates a little bit better over the next eight weeks!
Good luck all!
