Well, I'm pretty bad at updating this thing everyday!
For Monday's supper we had breaded fish fillets, salad with thousand isle dressing and Romano cheese and baked beans. I haven't had baked beans in so long, they were so good! Sadly, they are oh-so-full of brown sugar.
We were kind of just using up what we had, so it was ultra pretty or super healthy.
I decided to try out some ideas from my aunt and friend for my breakfast. I asked in an early post how to sweeten Malt-O-Meal without brown sugar. My aunt dropped off two packets of Truvia.
I did a little (emphasize little) research into this stuff. It looks to me like it's very clean and natural. Truvia is just a brand that makes stevia. So you could very well get the off brand of stevia and have the same great stuff for a fraction of the cost!
So I put those in my hot cereal.
But it still wasn't sweet enough. I added honey like Lara had suggested. I got it to be the sweetness I like, but I much more prefer brown sugar.. Oh well..
For supper, mom made hamburgers. I know, sounds unhealthy and processed. But we get our hamburger from our local meat market (where I work!) and I can tell you it's all natural! Then we mix in: worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, seasoned salt, black pepper, and sometimes paprika.
That's right, we like our flavor!!!
I decided to go bunless- I didn't need the extra carbs- and but it on a lovely bed of lettuce. Topped it with ketchup, spicy brown mustard, and horseradish pickles. I don't like pickles, but these things are amazing! Corn from the garden and two spears of horseradish jalepeno pickles.
Katy came over when we were done eating to work out. We did Tuesday's work out three times. My butt and abs hurt from it!
This morning I had to milk, so I grabbed an apple on the way out the door, then had my real breakfast after I was home and showered. I must be in the mood for omelets, since I had my dad make one for me Saturday morning as well! Honey ham and feta cheese inside with a glass of refreshing OJ!
For some reason I wasn't too into eating today and only grazed a bit on my homemade fruit rollups. Supper was a quick salad, orange and a little bit of strawberry sugar-free jello.
Katy came over to work out again tonight and we did Wednesday three times.
It took 31 minutes, so I did INSANITY abs to make it 45 minutes to complete my third perfect day of my second week of the Eight Week Get Healthy Challenge!!
I'm planning on a perfect week!!
